Why use Ser in this context?

Una pregunta...
Si dices "estoy viendo la tele" porque se cambia por el verbo ser en el frase "he sido viendo...
Es que pensé que debería ser
"he estado viendo"...
Por favor corrigen mi español y muchas gracias.

He estado viendo , ha estado viendo....
Maybe that was : he ido viendo...?
