"The last month flew by"

Hola a todos y próspero año nuevo.
Estoy tratando de decir "the last month flew by!", pero no sé cómo decir "flew" en esta manera.
Aquí está lo que tengo:
El último mes voló.
¿Es esto correcto?

I would try
La última mes fue/pasó volando. Maybe there is a better primary verb, but volando is used with ir to express time flying by, I remember reading a sentence in a Spanish novel "Nos fuimos volando", we left in a hurry.
