Writing to my Pen-pal.

Question

I've been writing to a pen-pal in Colombia for a while. A traveler herself she's recently asked, "Do you like to travel and where have you been?" I would like to reply,

"Yes, I like traveling too. So far I've visited six different counties: Mexico, Canada, Australia, Japan, Iraq, and Kuwait. Also, I also have plans to visit Spain and Portugal in March, 2012."

I was hoping someone would proofread my work.

Here is my shot at it:

Si, me gusta viajar también. Hasta ahora he viajado a seis países distintos: México, el Canadá, Australia, el Japón, el Irak, y Kuwait. Tengo también intención visitaré a España y Portugal en marzo de 2012.

"Tengo planes a visitar..."

This is not used, i don't know if it is correct or not, but use this better:

"Tengo planeado visitar España y Portugal en Marzo de 2012"

Everything is great. However, I have one recommendation. Change the last phrase to: “Planeo a visitar España y Portugal en el marzo del año siguiente". This translates to: I plan to visit Spain and Portugal in the March of the following year. Hope this helps!

Oops. I forgot. Distinto should be distintos (plural) because you are referring to multiple countries. - span4yrs, Dec 28, 2011

Try, "Tengo planes a visitar" .... or, "Estoy haciendo planes a visitar".....
