Hi there!

I need a second opinion. In the context of a doctor talking to his patient, I'm trying to figure out the best way to translate:

"We are going to be asking you a lot of questions. Please give us clear, concise answers"

My best attempt:

"Vamos a preguntarle muchas preguntas" (using the verb "preguntar" and noun "pregunta" in the same sentence seems weird, any other suggestions?)

"Favor denos respuestas claras y breves."

Hi, savvyspanish!

My two cents;

Vamos a hacerle unas cuantas preguntas. Por favor, conteste de manera breve y concisa.

Suena muy bien! What is the "cuantas preguntas"? I haven't seen cuantas used that way. - savvyspanish, Dec 27, 2011

On the first part, you can also go with:

Vamos a hacer varias preguntas. (cuantas has been translated as "few" but can imply numerous, for your purposes)

"Espero que sirva de ayuda" smile

Shouldn't "breve" & "concisa" be written in plural form? :) - cristalino, Dec 27, 2011
the "me da" part sounds funny there. I think it should be the command form of the verb. - savvyspanish, Dec 28, 2011
