Both "saber" and "conocer" mean "to know".
Saber
- Know information
- How to do something
Conocer
- being familiar with (knowing) a place
- Knowing a person
Examples
Do you know how to do the homework? - ¿Sabes cómo hacer la tarea? [Sí, sé cómo hacer la tarea.]
Do you know Heidi Klum? - ¿Conoces a Heidi Klum? [No, no conozco a Heidi Klum.]
Conjugation
Note that both "saber" and "conocer" (especially saber) have some irregular conjugations. You can find them both in our conjugation center.
