This picture is an advertisement of Singapore airlines, the company that flies between South-east Asia and Europe. This picture shows two different lifestyles, European on the right side and Asian on the left side. Many European cities have been built near the sea or a river. In Europe, its typical to find cities that have a river crossing across the city. This because the river gives water to the inhabitants and also reduces the sensation of low temperature during winter and high temperature in summer. So it makes the city more comfortable. On the right side of this picture, you can see a part of a European city. There is a block of buildings near the river. The buildings are more than five floors in height, and have small windows and some balconies. You can also see a neoclassical bridge above the river and a stone road that runs along the river bank. Furthermore, a typical activity is represented in this picture- two men running near the river at the dusk. Another curious and typical thing is the street light made of metal that gives off light and decorates the streets. The usual image that European citizens have about Asian cities is showed in the left side of the picture. You can see some houses near the river made of wood or bricks, two floors in height and with a typical roof. Windows and balconies are made of wood and decorated with geometric shapes. Also it is typical to see people walking along the river bank. In this picture you can see two young women walking along the road on one side of the river. It is midday, because the sky is blue. Probably, they are talking about the Singapore airlines. They are dressed with a T-shirt and a long skirt patterned with flowers, which maybe typical of their village. They wear sandals as the same colours of their dress. Both of them have black hair, but one of them has long hair and the other has short hair. Both of them have brown skin and they paint their nails with red colour. They have small eyes and a nice smile. Perhaps they are stewardesses of this company.
