what is "valgame dios" mean?
It's a poem I have. It reads: I lost the thought with you in it. "Válgame Díos" I am convinced you were the best part.

Here are the explanations of two dictionaries regarding this expression:
From Collins under the word 'valer ----> 5.(= proteger) ? ¡válgame (Dios)! oh, my God! , God help me! see ----> Valer
From our own SapanishDict dictionaries ----> 4. (en exclamaciones) ¡válgame Dios! ---> good God, o, good heavens! and later at 13. To avail oneself of, to have recourse to. ¡Válgate Dios -> heaven bless or pardon you ¡Vágame Dios -> good God See ---> Valer
I would reject the reply "it's worth it to me" for not having looked deeply enough into the idiomatic use of 'valer' with "dios".
Saludos y feliz año nuevo.

Valer: 1. tr. Amparar, proteger, patrocinar. (from RAE)
It literally means "protect me God", but can also be used like "good heavens!" as an exclamation.
it's worth it to me
Verb: Valer = Worth
