How would you translate in Spanish what we in English regard as a "weird crush" ie "everyone has there weird crush"...

The best example is with perhaps a politician or someone in a position not normally considered to arouse interest. Like if someone, ie a young woman, said they were attracted to Rajoy. I would call that a "weird crush".

Depends on what you mean by "crush". The word is ambiguous.

I don't think it is 'crush' that is vague but 'weird'. Do you mean having a crush on somebody who is weird or that your reason for having a crush is weird (such as someone much older than you)

My guess; Toda la gente esta embobado(a) con alguien peculiar.

I am not a native Spanish speaker though.

Or are you looking for an idiomatic expression?
