This question is asked a lot, so searching the forum will yield a lot of answers. In my opinion using the language in every day situations is the best way to learn it. Speak to other people, watch movies and television, listen to the radio, read books and newspapers, etc. Just like you did when you learned your first language.

Forcing yourself out of a comfort zone. I try to do this on a daily basis. It will get boring at times but if you stay at it you will gradually improve. I'm spelling spanish words that I thought I forgot how to and speaking words that I thought I forgot or didn't even know that I knew.
