Do you always have to use me in front of dormir when you are saying I'm going to bed? "Me voy a dormir?"

Also, on that same line do you have to use me when you say i'm going to bed; me voy a la cama?

Hi there.

Ir + a + infinitive = to be going to to something

In english it is the same,

I am going to wash my hair,

She will be going to eat dinner at four.

They went to find John.

All of these are variations of Ir + a + inf.

Voy a dormir = I am going to sleep

Me voy a dormir = I am going to fall asleep

There is a huge difference between them hahaha

You would say - voy a la cama and if you don¡t mention la cama or where you are going, just that you are going... you say

"me voy"
