¿Comó se dice buddy en Español?
How do you say "buddy" in Spanish?
I call one of mis amigas "my buddy" 
and I said that I would learn how to call her that in Spanish. She is NOT a big fan of my Spanish addiction Jeje.

MC, I would be careful using "compinche." It´s kind of street-like. A better abreviation for "compadre/comadre" is "compa" - 005faa61, Dec 23, 2011

In this situation I would use
mi campa
Campa is short for compañero, -a, which can mean 'mate' (like the Kiwis and Aussies might say it)
