When you order a chicken dish at a Mexican restaurant, sometimes they ask if you want roasted or "shredded". I ask how you say "shredded"in Spanish and was told "deshilado". I have look up the work and can't find it in any dictionary or online service. Can't find the underlying verb.

You have a couple of options lol. smile

Pollo picado, (picar: to chop)

pollo deshebrado, (deshebrar: to shred)

pollo deshilachada, (dehilachar: to fray, unravel, shred)

or pollo molido. (moler: to grind)
