This is a line from a Spanish Short Story. I cannot decifer it, I need some help with tampoco please.

it means "my dad didn't speak either".
Tampoco is like either or neither in english
It is usually referring to the previous sentence like...
Mary didn't say a word, my dad didn't speak either.
If you say in Spanish "yo tampoco"
it means "me neither"
or
a mí tampoco can also mean me neither
You can use it with "no" too.
example..
Mi papá no habló tampoco
or you can leave no out, like in your example.

When I was beginning I often mistook this "tampoco" word with tan poco... they sound similar.
watch out for it.
