I read this sentence: "Esta noche tengo invitados a cenar" but I thought it should be: "Esta noche tengo invitgados para cenar".

Which is correct and why? Thanks!!

First one sounds correct, second one sounds like you are going to eat the guests - although I guess both sound like they could work, the first sounds better to me. I;m not native though.

Esta noche tengo invitados a cenar" but I thought it should be: "Esta noche tengo invitgados para cenar".

English: "Esta noche tengo invitados a cenar"

This night I have guests to eat (sounds better)

"Esta noche tengo invitados para cenar".

This night I have guest into order to eat
