Did I translate this paragraph correctly?
I have to write a paragraph for school about winning a vacation to anywhere in the world and where would i go and what I would do while I was there. Can someone please tell me if this is good grammar and what is wrong? Thanks in advance. I posted it in both english and spanish......
If I won a one -week vacation to anywhere in the world, I would like to travel to the West Coast, stopping in Las Vegas, Nevada first. Id stay there for 2 days and play the slot machines and a few games of Blackjack. Next, I would fly to San Diego to visit my cousin James, who is in the Navy. I would have him show me around the beautiful seaport. I would rent a car in San Diego and drive to Los Angeles, where my brother and his fiancé live. There, I would visit Beverly Hills and one of its famous streets, Rodeo Drive. I would also visit Sonny McLeans, which is a sports pub operated by Boston owners, and where they carry all the Boston sports games. If weather permits, I would like to go golfing at Pebble Beach in Monterey County, visit my other cousins, Tim and Stephanie, and spend a couple nights camping at Big Sur. While in San Francisco I would take a cable car and visit Lombard Street otherwise known as the crookedness street in the world. Itll be a sad day when I have to head back to Rhode Island, and hopefully I would get a direct flight to TF Green Airport.

Let's cover the basic lesson that the exercise is meant to teach first: the If...Then clause.
How If...Then clauses are constructed in Spanish depends of the reality of the If clause, whether it is real (indicative mood) or unreal (subjunctive mood).
If I won or if I had won are unreal (contrary-to-fact...you have not actually won a week's vacation) or theoretical.
So your choices are:
Si ganara....If I won... then... verb in conditional (me gustaría.. would like).... some action in the present or future
Si hubiera ganado...if I had won...then...verb in conditional perfect (me hubiera gustado or me habría gustado...would have liked)...some action in the past.
If time permits....(real) situation seen as possible...the Then clause is in present or future time (indicative mood).
If time permits (and it should)....I will play golf...or...I am playing golf......
If time permits (but I doubt that it will...unreal)....I would like to
Sorry, my grandson dropped by and I didn't get to finish my reply.
