Words that end in "ón?"
In the constant desire to figure out the gender of nouns that do not end in "o" or "a," I embarked on a discussion with a native Spanish speaker about words that end in "ón."
Apparently, they are all masculine.
So, list one and use it in a sentence. Then, put the translation. Native speakers of Spanish feel free to jump in and offer corrections.
I'll go first:
Montón: a large amount
Tengo un montón de trabajo.
I have a lot of work (to do).
