Big Points about Spanish Culture
What would you say are the biggest points of Spanish culture?

In Spain and among my Hispanic friends, I would say the number one characteristic is family orientation, familial love in general and the especial, devoted love for children. I have seen grandparents in the park pursuing their frisky toddler grandchildren in complete rapture and delight in Madrid, and I have seen and heard the complete happiness of a young couple in their baby daughter in Texas. I have not yet seen any Hispanic person who did not love children, or did not love his/her own parents and siblings.
The greatest single contribution to human civilization by the Spanish culture is the concept of the siesta.
Ok, maybe not the greatest, but it sure is in the top ten. If you've ever lived anywhere where they practice it you'll agree it's pretty darned wonderful.
Tapas aren't half-bad, either.

Wow, didn't know that they were THAT friendly. Well, that's good
.
Didn't know about long lunches, but they are most certainly late, haha.
From my experience in Bolivia
Warm greetings (as already mentioned)
Long lunches and being late for almost everything. ![]()
oh - and trámites
From my short experience in Mexico I can only say that people are very very warm. Especially I admire the custom of greeting people everywhere even strangers. Buenas dias, buenas tardes, buenas noches you can hear walking in the street from some unknown people. And all with a smile and friendly attitude.
