I am doing a report on my family tree in spanish and i have to say stuff like, my fathers name is pedro , and I forgot how to say that correctly . I was saying ,mi padre se llamo es pedro , but i dont know if that is right .

Hi:

Since the subject is a third person your verb llamar will end with "a": Mi padre se llama Pedro.

You will be able to conjugate better after you go through the lessons 1 to 11.

Assuming that your father is still alive, go with Carhl's answer. Further back in your lineage (for forbears who are no longer alive) you'd use the imperfect tense e.g. "Mi bisabuelo (great grandfather) se llamaba Enrique."
