Hola mis amigos y amigas. It has been a horrible day in the operating room today. I have operated for about 16 hrs with just 2 10 min breaks. I have 3 more hrs left on an emergent Aortic dissection. I really tried to get it out. This is the first time I missed in almost 9 months. I will make it up to you. I feel like I let you down. Please forgive me. I will do the word later today. Thank you for your understanding. Love you all, Marshi.

Marshall, if l were you l wouldn't have apologized for saving people's lives wink

l think we all understand how important your job is, so there's no need to give excuses at all.

Thanks a lot for posting this, we were going to get worried about you, but for now l suggest you take a good rest of sleeping smile

Thanks a lot for all the effort you do to post this thread everyday, we truly appreciate it!

Of course you didn't marshi, I mean, this post was really not necessary.

I hope all is well with your patients, I wish them good luck, but they won't need it, they have the best surgeon there is, so all will be finesmile

Hola Marshall,

I feel guilty that I don't participate more frequently....and you are apologizing for missing one day in nine months?!?!

It just so happens that my husband had knee surgery today. Having experienced close to thirty of my own surgeries, along with those of my loved ones, it is such a comforting feeling when the surgeon comes to report that everything went well after a procedure. smile

So focus on your patients and their families, their hearts are quite literally in your hands. wink

And your forum friends will be waiting for you, thankful for all of the time and effort you put into this daily thread!!!!

I guess we can accept that as a reasonable excuse. I hope that it turns out well for you and your patient.

Get some rest. We'll all still be here tomorrow.

Life is just as it is , we do that which we have to do , if we

can do a little more then that is a bonus . All that you have

done for us in the past has been more than we could expect .

Have a great holiday if you can get away Marshall and enjoy your family.

Please spare a thought for me having to spend Christmas

eating Prawns Lobster and drinking gallons of cold drinks,

and perhaps having to keep dipping the old bod in the ocean to cool off.

You are not forgiven - never let this happen again!

jeje.....Marshi, of course everybody understands. You do an absolutely amazing job and I am in awe of guys like you. The hours you work, and the pressure you are under must be unbearable at times.

I really appreciate you giving up the little spare time you have to even post this message.

I salute you mi amigo. I hope you are not reading this for a good few hours yet because you need to sleep!!!!!

Hola mi amigo! Oh, no, please rid yourself of those guilt feelings because you are going to need your rest when you get off your shift. Can´t have you going to sleep tonight with a heavy heart. Thanks for letting us know your situation and know you are forgiven with lots of hugs and kisses, too!!

Marshall, ¡ Vete a la cama! No te preocupes, sobrevivimos un día sin tú palabra. Los medicos cansados hacen mas errores..

I can't believe you've done this every day for 9 months, without missing a day. And the rest of us thought we were busy... You have put us all to shame, have a lie-in and don't worry!

Wow Marshall , I just now saw this post. An emergent Aortic dissection, that sounds pretty heavy duty and I haven't a clue to what it may be but it clearly was more important than any word of the day. Hey maybe you can use one of those words sometime.
