use of gustar before multiple verbs?

Question

when saying you like to do more than one thing, do you use the single or plural form of gustar eg. me gusta bailar y cantar or me gustan bailar y cantar it's probably a stupid question but I was just wondering because if you were to say it in English, you would say "it pleases me to dance and sing" instead of "they please me to dance and sing" which doesn't make sense

It can get complicated. Look at this example using ni from the link in my reply on that thread.

9º Si el sujeto está compuesto por la coordinación con ni, el verbo aparecerá en plural si va pospuesto al sujeto, y en singular o plural si el verbo antecede al sujeto:

• Ni el arte moderno ni el contemporáneo me gustan ? verbos después del sujeto ? verbo en plural.
• No me gusta/gustan ni el arte moderno ni el contemporáneo ? verbo antepuesto al sujeto ? verbo en singular o plural.

Actually we are not discussing verbs here. The verb infinitives are being used as nouns (compound subjects). You are really asking about gustar used with compound subjects when those subjects happen to be verb infinitives.

Me gusta bailar y cantar is correct .and if doesn't matter how many persons or how many activities are done the verb is the same.It pleases me to... it pleases us to... Me gusta bailar y cantar = it pleases me to dance and sing Nos gusta bailar y cantar = it pleases us to dance and sing I love to dance and sing or We love to dance and sing
