How do you say cake frosting in spanish?
I am looking to have parents bring in containers of cake frosting - glaseado was not understood - is there another way to describe the cans of frosting - in vanilla to my spanish speaking parents?
Thanks,

An option that works for me, as an acceptable (and possibly easy to understand in different countries) translation to Frosting, is "glaseado". Does not work for other kinds of covers, though.

Bizcocho (or torta, or pastel) con glaseado.
Betún o embadurnado.
Lata de capa dulce de pastel.
I learned the word "Turrón" in México that's the stuff that's made with eggs and powdered sugar and butter
Cobertura, but it's a more generic term which includes not only frosting.
