Relative Pronouns Sentence
Is this right or can a different relative pronoun be used?
El terremoto QUE hubo en Haití destruyó casi todo.
Las personas QUIENES sobrevivieron están viviendo al aire libre, y están expuestas a graves enfermedades por falta de agua potable y recursos.

The relative pronouns are: el/la que; los/las que y lo que..... and they always agree with the pronoun that it replaces in gender and quanity... el/la cual.......... are not commonly used but are seen and used occasionaly by people who are highly educated or in literary works...... Relative pronouns are used when the person, place or thing is already understood(as it is in English)
I've never seen "quienes" in the middle of a sentence..... "que" is generally used.... I will use the sentences you provided as an example.....
El terremoto que ocurrió en Haití destruyó casi todo ¿Oiste sobre el terremoto...... el que casí(or por poco=nearly) destruyó todo en Haiti?
Las personas que sobrevivieron están viviendo al aire libre, y están expuestas a graves enfermedades por falta de agua potable y recursos. (Los que sobrevivieron........)
