Often elevators in my building do not work and I have to walk up 12 floors.

I suppose that is correct since it's a little uncomfortable to share a small space with a large crowd. - katydew, Dec 15, 2011

I do not like taking (using) glass lifts because I am a little afraid of heights. Many years ago when I was in Paris I declined the opportunity to take the lift to the top of the ''Eiffel Tower'' because the tower was swaying in the wind.

Has anyone heard the elevator yet? It seems like we have been waiting for forever.

Sometimes you get the elevator, sometimes you get the shaft.

Most of conversations in elevators can be described as "nonsensical discussions" alt text

This elevator is for the coal miners of the late 1800´s. Notice there is no door, only a chain.

An elevator takes you up or down , like a lover in a dream.

Sorry man! The Spanish version is incorrect!

You could say.
