¡Hola amigos! I'm new to the forum and so impressed and excited to be here. What an awesome community!

I can't speak for everyone, but I know that I, for one, have learned a lot of Spanish by listening to Spanish music. I'm hoping everyone will use this thread to share their favorite "teaching songs" for others to enjoy and use as fun lessons.

I have three examples to get us started.

  1. For adjective agreement: Shakira, "Moscas en la Casa"
  2. For preterite vs. imperfect usage: Jennifer Lopez, "Qué Hiciste"
  3. For adverb formation, "Suavemente," Elvis Crespo.

¡Mucho gusto!

I don't know if it is good for learning, but I dig the Kumbia Kings. Azuquita!

Thanks so much! I love that song too. It might be a good one for direct and indirect object placement. :-) - tejanajo, Dec 13, 2011

I would recommend anything by Javier Solís. His pronunciation was excellent.

Some of his biggest hits were "Entrega total," "Sombras," "Mi viejo San Juan," "Y," "El loco," "Las rejas no matan," "El payaso."
