Is there such a word as 'manserena' referring to a plate for serving cocoa to Spanish royals
I work in a museum and we have an item from the 1715 Plate Fleet wrecks along the east coast of Florida which is labeled as a 'glove tray', but a Spanish government official touring our museum has informed us that it is in fact called a 'manserena' and is a plate/tray which was used in the 16th century to serve small cups of unsweetened cocoa to the royalty of Spain. Can you confirm the existence of this item? Thank you for your assistance.

Hi:
I have heard of a 'paten' (for serving the eucharist during mass) being mislabeled as a glove tray.
