plucking a fig tree

there's a very strange verb that refers to plucking a fig tree or something of the like. I feel it was something like "deshigarse" or algo asi... what is this verb that i am thinking of?
as the subject says. there is some verb meaning (roughly), "to remove figs from a fig tree." I wanna' say it's something like "deshigar" "alohigar", something along those lines. it was a very particular verb that I could see no ordinary person using, except, of course, if they were to have visited a fig tree farm.
