The tilde is very important with this word

Annierats is right! Unless you use a tilde over the last O, you are saying "The Large Intestine Hotel." Colon and Colón are two different words.

I thought it was the large intestine, but I grant you tha t I would not particularily want to stay in a hotel of that name.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I believe it means Colombus (as in the last name).
