Many words in Spanish have an English word that sounds like it or somehow reminds you of it. List a word and how you remember it.

*Example: * árbol=Tree We celebrate a day called Arbor day that is all about trees, so you can remember árbol

The word "romper" makes me think of the old tv show "Romper Room" (a program for young kids) which makes me think of my son who my husband and I have nicknamed "Dr. Destruct-o" for his amazing ability to break almost anything in the blink of an eye.

It's funny how the brain works sometimes. LOL

Jaja. Heres one I learned from Marcus Santamaria, author of Snergy Spanish.

The word for pool is la piscina. Vision someone in a pool and they piss in it.
