Class Spanishdict app for i pods, pads and pppp...phones

If anyone has tried it, they are probably going to agree that the app for Apple I pods, I pads, or I phones is class!

It has a vocabulary builder. It is a quiz that helps you to memorize words. If you get one wrong it repeats it later on in the quiz... As you get more and more right in a level it gets more difficult oh, and it pronounces the words too so you get a real run for your money... oh I'm sorry, it is actually free!

also includes: (and no I'm not advertising) a dictionary,

phrases,

word of the day,

and a favourites tab.

The image is showing an easy level.

It's also available for Androids.

The app is nice. The dictionary is abbreviated- it's not as good as what we have here. But it works without an internet connection, which is huge.

It also has lots of phrases. For instance, if you type in "golden" you get-

Golden Girls

golden calf

golden handcuffs

golden opportunity

golden parachute

golden retriever

golden rule

golden shower ohh

Errrr..... well you see what I mean. There's a lot of stuff in the SpanishDict app!

Yep. I never leave home without itexcaim

It can go on your cell phone, touchpads, etc.

Come on -- admit it -- you don't like just sitting on the subway, in the doctor's office, waiting out in the cold, etc. rubbing your nose -- now do you? Go ahead and get the app and indulge in your SpanishDict addiction!! grin

You'll love it. Mikey did.

Just downloaded it! Tosh mentioned a similar program in a different post but it's only for iPhone and iPad, and I being the lowly owner of an iTouch was a bit sad for about five minutes until I found this grin. I swear, the longer I'm on this website the more impressed I am with how encompassing it really is.

hahahaha sad for 5 minutes eh? Yeah, they really go to great lengths here - dewclaw, Dec 11, 2011
By the way. Ipods are class !!! sheesh :P - dewclaw, Dec 11, 2011
I think that every app that works on an iphone also works on an ipod. I was wrong once before though. - teasip, Dec 11, 2011
Literally, I had found this post 5 minutes later haha. - KatHC3, Dec 12, 2011
As far as apps go, iPhone specific apps sometimes will work on an iTouch, but not always. It cost me $6 to learn that, and the app Tosh mentioned isn't free. - KatHC3, Dec 12, 2011
hahah Kat. Funny how things work - dewclaw, Dec 12, 2011

We use the Spanish Dict App in my Spanish I and II classes along with Hello-Hello Spanish, though SpanishDict is far easier to use.

Am I the only one who believes that the app is good but needs an update? It hasn't been updated since 2009. The dictionary is great, the game is even greater but the word of the day section is out-of-date. But the most important thing to me is that a separate application should be developed, native on iPad. I find it very inconvenient to use the iPhone application on my iPad. The app screen is so tiny and when I try to magnify it, the quality is ruined. The "Favorites" section doesn't work.

Sorry guys, the overall effort is great but I'd like to mention the disadvantages as well.
