It is irrational to put one spelling of a word in a title, but then the correct spelling in the body of a question.
It is irrational to jump into a river if you don't know how to swim.
He's acting quite irrationally today, so please avoid him at all costs.
I have chosen quite extreme examples which I hope will illustrate the concept of being irrational/irrationality
1 It is irrational and dishonest to say one moment that you are afraid to leave the house to go to work because you don't like crowds yet be quite happy to be seen out shopping another day with your frriends in a busy, crowded shopping mall!
2 It is irrational to say you have a severe fear of heights (altophobia) yet be relaxed about taking part in Bungy jumping the following day!
3 It is irrational to be scrupulous and meticulous about cleaning your house yet not bother to wash your hands before eating food!
irrational is something that makes no sense and defies logical explanantion
I hope these help you understand the word irrationaly better. 
P.S. irrational behaviour is invariably contradictory bu nature which explains my choice of examples!
