What sound does a horse make?

Hola, Sorry, this is a bit abstract, but I'm writing a fantasy short story in Spanish and I was wondering what "sound" do Latinos generally say that horses make? I know that in English it's "neigh," but what is it in Spanish? Thanks!

Unless the horse speaks Spanish and then its sound is "jiiiiiii" or "iiiiou". A bilingual horse would be nice but may be too much to expect. Anyway, how do you say "Gee" and "Haw" in Spanish. - Moe, Dec 8, 2011
