Como le sucede a...

This is not really a question, but a definition of a phrase that I haven't seen in any grammar books, nor dictionaries, I've come across. Basically, it means "as is the case with." To say "as was the case with," you just change the tense of "suceder." You use it, like in English, to refer back to what you mentioned via an example. Hope this was of help in all your goals to learn Spanish. grin

Thank you for presenting this phrase. I now have two questions: 1) Can this phrase be translated as "As it happens to ...."? 2) Would you please give a sentence with this phrase in it, so we can better understand its usage, and when to use it.

Gracias,
