Vive segundo?

Vive segundo?

Hey, I was talking with my Spanish friend and she had written something in German on her arm. She didn't know how to say it in English, but she said that it meant "vive segundo/(a?)". Does anybody know what that means in English?

What were you discussing when she said/wrote it? - 0074b507, Dec 7, 2011
We were talking about The Book Thief and I believe it may be in the book, but I'm not good at memorizing German phrases. - Der_Kirby, Dec 7, 2011
Now that I think about it, the German phrase may have been "auf wiedersehen", but broken up to fit her arm. Could there be anything similar to "goodbye" or "until we meet again" that is spanish? - Der_Kirby, Dec 7, 2011

"Auf Wiedersehen" you can look in any internet dictionary. It does mean "good bye" in German. That, however, has nothing to do with "vive segundo", which out of context might be literally translated as "live second" - whatever that means.

Translations need contexts in order to make sense. For single words or short phrases, I encourage you to use our online translation tool, which can give you a quick literal translation.

Thank you. Although my score is rather low in how much Spanish I have learned, I have used Spanish Dict for a couple years now. I will just have to ask her what she meant by it since she didn't give any context to it. - Der_Kirby, Dec 8, 2011
