How to say "the female immigrant"

Hello all!

I am writing an essay on the identity of the female immigrant but want to make sure that I am stating this correctly.

Right now, I have written: "La identidad de la inmigrante mujer"

Since both "inmigrante" and "mujer" are nouns I am unsure of the order in which they should appear. Should I change this to "la mujer inmigrante" or keep it as "la inmigrante mujer"?

Thank you!

It sounds racist and somehow sexist to me. -------- I think it would sound much better La inmigrante colombiana, peruana, mexicana, cubana, chilena, etc, etc. Than, la inmigrante latinoamericana. Everybody loves to be referred by their own nationality than by a pack. ---------- I agree with Guillermo. The expression "La inmigrante" implies that you are talking about a woman. "La mujer inmigrante" is redundant. The word "woman" in my opinion is more respectful than "the female".

la immigrante (noun) latina [oamericana] (adjective) or you could switch horses and refer to her as la latina (noun) immigrante (adjective)

immigrante is both a noun or an adjective
