On a train ticket, what is the indicator of air conditioning on the car that you will be on?

When I travelled in October of this year on a train from Calella to Barcelona - a journey which took approximately 1 hour 15 minutes - all the carriages/cars had air conditioning. There was no need to specifically ask for a carriage with air conditioning when I purchased my ticket nor was I aware of any extra costs involved in having air conditioning.

I am therefore more than a little puzzled by your question: why do you assume that you/one would have to ask for such a privelege or pay extra for it?

On what experience do you base your idea of having a special mark on the ticket to indicate air conditioning? In my experiece of travelling in trains from Pineda de Mar as far as Barcelona in Spain over a span of more than 5 years there was never any mention made of Air conditioning being limited to certain tickets. It is present in all carriages!

I hope this helps grin

The same is true for trains in Russia. There is no such mention of AC, even on the trans-Siberian railway. If you want AC, you just open a window, and that´s all.
