How can i answer this in Spanish?

Depende del tiempo... Está haciendo bastante calor. Está haciendo frío. It is also somewhat accepted to simply say Está caliente, frío, fresco, hoy. I think, however that the first method is more correct. If someone that actually knows Spanish would like to correct me....???
