Dear Diary, Querido diario,

Please feel free to add your own...What did you do today? Did something exciting, strange, awful, magical, disastrous, or everyday happen?

Just write the date and a few lines.

I appreciate all corrections and thanks in advance!

This thread is somewhat nostalgic. When I came to SpanishDict 3 years ago, this site was similar to some of the social sites. Every profile page had a bulletin board type layout where you could embed videos, post pictures, music, leave messages for friends (yes, we had friends back then) place links to your personal web site and write blogs/diaries/journals and post them on your profile page. It was a great way to practice writing and to receive proofreading.

I'm glad to see that some of those capabilities are still here. Of course, your blog entries are a lot shorter than the ones we had back then.

That sounds great. Spanish facebook it seems? My facebook is already set to Spanish but it's still missing 100 Spanish friends! - Ada-S, Dec 8, 2011
I wish I was more interesting in Spanish! Unfortunately, I just can't express myself the way I'd like. But I'm working on it! - Ada-S, Dec 8, 2011
Keep up the good job! - 00a4c226, Dec 8, 2011

Hoy estoy tan emocionada.

Estoy muy excitado = To be "excited" in spanish means that you are having intercourse and you are having orgasms or that you are feeling lot of pleasure for doing handjob. Or in vulgar vocabulary it would mean that you are hot!

<

I will get a big present later tonight when my boyfriend returns to Korea. hahaha! I had no idea, what I was saying was rude. Maybe it was a Freudian slip! - Ada-S, Dec 7, 2011
Thanks Lucy, I won't make that mistake again. I hope! - Ada-S, Dec 7, 2011

Otra vez, dijo "Si, tengo hambre." Creo que Kevin no sabe que otro me decir a mi. (I don't think Kevin knows what else to say to me)

Otra vez, dijo "Si, tengo hambre." Creo que Kevin no sabe que otro me debría decir a mi. (I don't think Kevin knows what else he should say to me). You could also say,' Creo que Kevin no sabe que otro me decir a mí.)

(Use estar because you are tired at this time, it is a temporary state or condition. If you were trying to say that you were a tired or tiring person, you would use ser).

Do you think it might sound a little funny to begin with 'otra vez', when you refer to 'today'? In Spanish, I think it would be better to use another choice for 'again'. How about, 'De nuevo'? The slightly more advanced, but less literal way, is to use 'volver a hacer algo', literally to return to do something, or, to do something again. So, you would say, 'Cuando volví a llegar a la escuela...'

So, those are my suggestions. Please note that I am not a native speaker, so I may make a mistake in my corrections! But, let's hope not.

Hi, I saw a few things. There could be more.

"No Kevin.

No tuve muchos clases.

Regresé a mi casa y limpié mi casa. Por fin! Ahora, estoy practicando español.

Hoy está nevando! Estoy feliz. ( I couldn't let them)

En una de mi clase, mi estudiante estaba leyeron un frase "The caterpillar went to eat with his caterpillar friends" pero él leyo "The caterpillar went to eat his caterpillar friends." Era preciosa y graciosa. We are in the same boat now that I am learning Spanish!

In Spanish 3.9 there is a speaking exercise.

"Tell me what you will do next year on vacation using any verb you like. Extra credit for irregular verbs!

After my Freudian slip yesterday (telling everybody how I was about to orgasm) I'm going to be a bit more careful.

Hoy estoy tan emocionada.

Yes, it is better that you forget the thing about the translation of "exciting". "Emocionada" is the correct translation. - nila45, Dec 8, 2011
