"Quite a bit"

"Quite a bit"

How would one say "It hurt quite a bit" as a direct translation? I was thinking perhaps "Le duele bastante un poco," but that seems like a contradiction. Would I say something else like le duele bastante mucho? Please help!

Le duele bastante. seems to convey the idea.

From our dictionary:

  1. (+adjetivo, adverbio) quite, pretty (considerablemente) ; (+verbo) quite a lot

me gustó bastante -> I enjoyed it quite a lot

I would say "Le duele tanto." Tanto means "so much" or "as much," so that would probrably be the best way to translate this.
