Can someone please proofread my summary?
Hello! I wrote a summary on a story we read in AP Spanish and was wondering if you can check it for grammatical errors. Feel free to be very picky because my teacher who is a native speaker always finds an error. Also, my verb tenses in the past (preterit/imperfect) may be wrong so pay special attention to that. Al principio del cuento, el narrador y su familia de braceros migratorios tenían que mudarse a Fresno porque la cosecha de fresas se había terminado. El narrador estaba triste porque no quería cambiar su vida, pero sus hermanitos estaban emocionados porque era una gran aventura. La familia empacó sus cosas en el coche que el papá llamaba "la Carcanchita" y la mamá tuvo una olla muy especial. La familia dejó la casa con mucha tristeza. La familia llegó a Fresno y habló con el Señor Sullivan que les dio trabajo para la temporada de uvas. Ellos vivían en el garaje viejo e incómodo de los Sullivan, pero lo arregló de una buena manera. El primer día de trabajo en la viña el narrador se desmayó del calor. Luego, después de esconderse del camión de la escuela, papá contó cuanto dinero había ganado por el día, y estaba muy triste. You need to find a synonym or pronoun for el narrador so that you don't repeat it so much....el protagonista, et. al.

Who is hiding? papá or el narrador?

At the beginning of the story, the narrator and his family of migrant laborers had to move to Fresno because the harvest of strawberries had been completed. The narrator was sad because he did not want to change his life, but his brothers were excited because it was a great adventure. The family packed their things in the car which the dad called 'the Carcanchita' and the mother had a very special pot. The family left the house with a lot of sadness. The family arrived in Fresno and talked with the Sullivans who gave them work for the season of grapes. They lived in the old and uncomfortable garage of Mr. Sullivan, but he arranged it in a good way. The first day of work in the vineyard, the Narrator fainted from the heat. Then, after hiding the truck from the school, dad told how much money they had earned that day, and was very sad. The three returned to his home, had dinner the narrator sat bruised because he is not customary to this work. The narrator was excited because he could go to school when the season ended in November, but sat ashamed because his brother could not go to school. The first day of school was not pleasant for the narrator. Arriving at school, he felt uncomfortable and could not read the English in his book in class. He went to the bathroom during recess to practice the words but did not succeed. The Narrator went to see Mr. Lema to help with school work during recesses. Friday, Mr. Lema offered to teach the trumpet to the narrator. Unfortunately at the end of the tale, the narrator and his family decided to move again.
