pesear andar caminar

All three verbs have the same meaning to walk. Can anyone explain to me briefly what are the differences between these three verbs. Who is the most common among them? Am I free to use any of them to express the action of walking?

Caminar is the closest equivalent of the English 'to walk'. It can also be used in a more abstract way, for instance to travel or go, but it's basically walk.
Pasear means to go for a walk, to take a walk, or perhaps to stroll. So in the sense that you can say, lets go for a walk, let's take a stroll, let's walk, it means 'to walk', but with that meaning. Dar un paseo means to go for a walk. Pasear al perro means to take the dog for a walk.
Andar is a verb with many meanings. One of them is to walk. But it also means to go - el reloj no anda, the clock doesn't go, doesn't work; to be - andar feliz, to be happy; to ride a bike, andar en bici; to ride a horse, andar a caballo. There are a ton of expressions using andar!
