Hi, I was hoping someone could look over this and tell me whats right and whats not. My answers are at the bottom! Thanks in advance!

Carmen has just returned from a year abroad and is having lunch with her Spanish professor. Complete their conversation with the correct form of the past perfect tense of the verbs in parentheses.

My Answers: 1. habia 2. estudiado 3. jubilarado 4. imprimido 5. haciamos

I am hoping that you omitted the accent marks because of a typing deficiency. They are necessary....e.g. había estudiado

yo.... había estudiado....correct

mis padres.... se habían jubilado....don't forget the pronoun for a pronominal verb

tú.... habías ido

mis amigos y yo .....habíamos hecho (irregular past participle)

I think you understand the construction now, however. You just need to learn the forms of haber better. It is a common verb used in all perfect tenses so practice will come quickly.

Nice work.

I think you need to review what the past perfect tense of the verb is. None of your answers are in the past perfect tense (imperfect past tense and the past participle are what I see).

past perfect tense in English (had+past participle)

pluscuamperftecto del indicativo había+pp

pluscamperfecto del subjuntivo hubiera+pp

el pretérito anterior del indicativo (hubo+pp) is not used much

(Escribir: yo) ________ algunas composiciones y examanes en espanol aqui...

I had written some compositions and tests in Spanish here

[Yo] Había escrito algunas composiciones y exámanes en español aquí...
