En España es costumbre comer doce uvas al dar las 12 en Noche Vieja.
In Spain it is customary to eat 12 grapes when the clock strikes 12 on New Year's Eve.

When I want to know the time I look at my watch. It generally keeps good time but on ocassions it can go wrong. That's when I take it to the jewellers to have it mended and cleaned.

I must admit, I looked up the dictionary for the conjugations. And I'm really not sure of the Spanish sentence structure. It looks too much like a word for word translation!
