How do you say the command "stop it" in both the tú and Ud. forms?

¡Basta ya! is one way to say - stop it!

But if you mean to use the verb parar the tú form is 'para' and the usted form is 'pare'.

Remember that this doesn't always work in sentences though as often dejar is used instead. Eg ¡dejen de discutir! - stop arguing etc smile

I agree. I've also heard of just "¡Basta!" by itself, like "Enough!"... I suppose if one wants to be specific about what they want someone to stop doing, "dejar"is the better option. - Goldie_Miel, Dec 1, 2011
Basta is a word I often heard in my sisters house when the children were small :) - MaryMcc, Dec 1, 2011

impídelo don't forget the accent - that wouldn't be used as a command for someone to stop doing something though :) - Kiwi-Girl, Dec 1, 2011
