How do I do well on a Spanish essay.

I am in spanish 2 and i need to prepare for an in class essay tomorrow. It is about season, clothes, FGM verbs and all of this is in past tense. How do i prepare. example essays?

What are FGM verbs? I would make sure you know the vocabulary, and if you know what the topic is going to be, you could try writing a practice essay. Do you have to use preterite and imperfect or just one? Because if you have to use both I would review when to use the preterite v. imperfect.
I think the biggest thing on writing in a foreign language, especially in an in class essay, is knowing what you can say, and what you can't. Don't try to say something super complex if you have no idea how to say it. Keep it simple and stick to what you know.
