Who or what would you give up most of your life for?
I saw the film "Conviction" the other day, and it moved me to tears.
Hilary Swanks, that is what I call acting, this woman is a marvel!
A working mother puts herself through law school in an effort to represent her brother, who has been wrongfully convicted of murder and has exhausted his chances to appeal his conviction through public defenders.
She gives up her marriage, her life, her kids, everything, to help her brother. Almost at the end of the film, when she finally gets the brother out of prison, she asks her two kids: You would have done the same for your brother, right?
The kids just look at her and say: What, give up our lives?

We have some perfect examples here on the forum, where some mothers have given up part of their lives to care for their sick children.
