I don't say anything just to hear myself talk. Something like that? I think "por decir" could be like "for the sake of talking" but I don't know. Heard in a real mexican movie, (not dubbed) El Angel Exterminador.

You're along the right track. I'd have said "for the sake of talking", but I like your interpretation as "to hear myself talk". That looks good to me.

It can also be "for the heck of it". I don't say anything just for the heck of it (I have reasons for everything I say).

I would think por decir would be more along the lines of, 'that is to say'.
