What is the correct term for High School in spanish?

el colegio o Escuela secundaria?

I doing a presentation in spanish and I want to mention a time when i was high school but I don't want to use the wrong word.

Well the problem with saying high school in Spanish is that "high school" exists in English, but not Spanish. In other countries high school has different names. A fairly common one is secundaria, or you could say preparatoria, or colegio. It depends on where you want to say the high school is.

When I'm talking about my personal education I just say high school, because I did not go to a secundaria or preparatoria. Those are different school systems than high school.
