How do I use caber in the preterit?
Caber - to fit or be possible
I know the preterit conjugations (cupe, cupiste, cupo, cupimos, cupisteis and cupieron), but how do you use these in a sentence?
Does "El cupo" mean "It was possible" or "It fit"?
Would "Cupe" be a complete sentence meaning "I fit"? Would anyone ever say "Cupe"?

Of course. It is the only way to say:
I fit/fitted = (yo) cupe (in that small hole) ie.
You canoot say cabí, as that is not a word.
