This is yet another excellent resource. Thank you for all of these modules. In module 1 on page 12, shouldn't "Ustedes comen pizza" be translated "You all eat pizza" rather than "They eat pizza"?

I think this usage is only found in Spain?

I seem to remember Paralee mentioning in some lesson that the plural (vos) form only applies to Spanish in Spain. So I suppose 'ustedes' does mean 'they' in other places like Mexico or Latin America?

No, ustedes would mean vosotros or ustedes (you all) in L.A. vos and vosotros is not the same aminal. vos is singular (tú) - 0074b507, Nov 25, 2011
In L.A. they just don't make a distinction between you plural, formal and you plural, informal. Both are ustedes. We do the same thing in English. We just have you (no you formal, plural different than you informal, plural). - 0074b507, Nov 25, 2011
Thanks for clarifying. In Spain, vosotros = you plural informal and ustedes = you plural formal, while in L.A. both formal and informal are ustedes, they don't use vosotros. Is that it? - mathslover, Nov 28, 2011
