Despacio and Lentamente are synonyms. Either way is fine.

despacio/lento = slow
lentamente = slowly

If you look in our dictionary despacio is listed as an adverb, there is no adjective meaning. (lento). Neither does the RAE. - 0074b507, Nov 23, 2011
